Discovering the flora in the “Lost City of Vitozza”
A hike that combines the charm of the Middle Ages with the discovery of the plant life of this corner of Tuscany. Vitozza is a tuff plateau that was carved to create about 200 cave dwellings, inhabited from the 11th/12th century to the 18th century. Here you can find the typical plant species of the tuff area. In spring, we may encounter wild orchids, while in autumn we can admire the warm colors of the foliage.
